This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience in balancing your professional and personal life. As a part of our telehealth facility, you will leverage technology to deliver therapy sessions via secure video conferencing platforms. Our practice utilizes electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and improve patient care coordination.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of patients through diagnostic interviews and standardized assessment tools.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that employ evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, promoting personal growth and healing in a supportive environment.

• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups aimed at fostering community connection and enhancing understanding of mental health issues.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support and guidance to patients facing emergencies.

• Educate patients about mental health, treatment options, and community resources that can assist in their recovery.

• Maintain complete and accurate records of patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development by attending training sessions and participating in case supervision meetings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Union Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse population of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clients come from various backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges and strengths. Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in Maryland.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated experience conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.

• Proficient in delivering individual and group therapy to diverse populations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Comprehensive understanding of professional ethics and standards of practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with experience in telehealth service delivery, proficiency in specific therapeutic modalities (such as trauma-informed care), and familiarity with EHR systems. Additional training in crisis intervention or specialized certifications in mental health areas are advantageous.
