Accounting Manager Milton, GA, US 6886958 a month ago Job Description Experience: Manager Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinate and execute the month-end and year-end closing process.
3. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations to guarantee accuracy of financial statements.
4. Prepare and present financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
5. Develop and maintain the company’s internal financial controls, including cost accounting, budgets, and forecasting.
6. Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
7. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
8. Collaborate with the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.
9. Identify opportunities for process improvements to accelerate the close and reporting processes.
10. Stay updated with industry trends and current best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proven experience with financial reporting, taxation, auditing, corporate finance, and all other aspects of accounting.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
