Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate the emotional, social, and financial needs of patients and their families, ensuring an understanding of their support systems and resources.

• Be available for crisis intervention, offering short-term counseling during acute episodes of distress. Your ability to respond promptly and compassionately is vital for patient care during emergencies.

• Deliver ongoing supportive counseling, helping patients and families cope with the trajectory of their illness, addressing their concerns and challenges throughout various stages of their treatment.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate community resources, strategies for coping, and other clinical interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs.

• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and compliance policies, proactively addressing any potential issues and communicating effectively with patients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on cancer patients and their loved ones, a demographic that often requires specialized support due to the emotional and psychological burden of diagnosis and treatment. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Current LCSW license in the state of Pennsylvania is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is essential, with a strong preference for those with clinical experience in oncology or related fields.

Compensation and Benefits\n
