Accounts Payable Specialist

A reputable and well-established organization in Cheshire, CT is looking to add a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to their growing finance team. This temporary-to-permanent role is ideal for a professional who excels in a dynamic setting and has attention to detail and accuracy. Ifyou bring a background in accounts payable or general accounting support and are ready to hit the ground running in an active office setting, we would love to connect with you! salary: $28 - $30 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: High School Responsibilities Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries Process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items Maintain vendor records and ensure documentation is up to date Assist with month-end close activities, accruals, and account reconciliations Support internal and external audit requests as needed Skills Accounts Payable Disbursements/Check Runs Expense Reports Coding/Batching Excel ERP Qualifications Years of experience: 4 years Experience level: Experienced Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
