Automotive Sales Management Experience Required

An established, high-performing dealership in the Charlotte, NC area is hiring an experienced General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead its variable operations and help take the store to the next level.

We have a strong customer base, excellent employee retention, and a collaborative culture across departments. With significant opportunity in both New and Used Vehicle Sales, this is a high-impact leadership role for someone who knows how to build teams, drive performance, and improve profitability.

We're looking for a leader who is as strong with people as they are with numbers. You'll be expected to coach, train, develop, and career-plan with your team while maintaining high standards for performance and customer experience.

What Youll Do:

• Lead New and Used Vehicle Sales operations
• Drive sales volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales management team and Sales Consultants
• Desk deals and support strong deal structure and closing
• Partner closely with the General Manager on dealership goals
• Monitor sales activity, lead performance, inventory, and key metrics
• Maintain accountability, process consistency, and ethical sales practices
• Work with manufacturer partners on sales initiatives and performance
• Recruit and develop strong sales talent

What Were Looking For:

• Previous GSM, Sales Manager, or Variable Operations leadership experience at a high-volume franchised dealership required
• Proven success in increasing sales, CSI scores, and profitability
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Process-driven, data-minded, and results-oriented
• Ability to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Valid drivers license with a good driving record
