Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to understand client backgrounds and establish rapport.

• Gather comprehensive patient histories to inform treatment planning and approach.

• Provide tailored individual, group, and family therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to structural family therapy, systems therapy, and narrative therapy.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and therapeutic goals.

• Document patient progress accurately and consistently to ensure a high standard of care.

• Engage in ongoing therapeutic education, remaining up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Participate in regular case consultations with fellow clinicians to enrich the quality of care and foster a collaborative team environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on providing outpatient psychotherapy services to a diverse clientele, including individuals and families facing various challenges such as relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. Your expertise in psychoeducation and relationship counseling will be key to addressing the specific needs of our communities in Buffalo, New York, and beyond. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• Active LMFT license to practice in New York State.

• Certification in one or more recognized treatment modalities is preferred.

• At least one year of post-licensure clinical experience in a therapeutic setting is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

Two or more years of clinical experience in outpatient settings, with a focus on family systems therapy, will be highly regarded.
