Site Reliability Engineer (Asset & Wealth Management)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts, with at least 3 years of applied experience
• Foundational understanding of SRE culture and principles, including service level indicators (SLIs) and service level objectives (SLOs)
• General knowledge of observability and monitoring, with hands-on experience using industry-standard tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or Bash, for tool development and operational support
• Experience with incident and response management, including on-call participation and structured post-incident reviews
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and best practices using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks and manage configurations at scale using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar
• Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for SRE workflows, with strong validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity
• Ability to verify AI-assisted operational recommendations before applying changes, escalate when uncertain, and follow data sensitivity requirements
• Preferred: Experience operating in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments, including resiliency, scalability, and observability patterns
• Preferred: Familiarity with Kubernetes ingress, networking, and certificate deployment patterns
• Preferred: Experience improving infrastructure-as-code patterns, such as Terraform modules and reusable configurations
• Preferred: Understanding of controls-focused operations in regulated environments, including change management and audit support
• Preferred: Experience with service mesh, load balancing, and DNS troubleshooting, such as ALB/NLB and Route 53
• Preferred: Interest in self-directed learning and evaluating emerging SRE and cloud-native technologies
• Preferred: Strong communication skills and ability to work with varied stakeholder groups and organizational levels

• Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines
• Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for assigned applications and platforms
• Improve observability through white- and black-box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection
• Help identify and resolve complex problems using service level indicators and objectives to address issues proactively
• Participate in incident response, triage, and post-incident analysis; document findings and remediation actions to help prevent recurrence
• Find opportunities to eliminate recurring issues or automate their remediation to reduce operational toil and improve stability
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis; validate outputs and handle operational data according to its sensitivity and security requirements
• Recognize operational roadblocks and identify improvements, exploring new technologies where appropriate
• Document and share knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice
• Support adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within the team
