Account Executive - IT Solutions Provider

A growing national IT solutions provider — you'd know the name — is hiring an Account Executive in Chicago. Full-portfolio selling across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, modern workplace, and managed services, with Solution Architects and established OEM partnerships behind every deal. The role: Identify, develop, and close net-new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach Run the full sales cycle — discovery, proposal, negotiation, close — with Solution Architects and technical resources at your side Build trusted-advisor relationships with business and technology leaders at existing and prospective clients Expand existing accounts across a full solutions and services portfolio Sell on value and gross profit, with services attach and recurring revenue (MRR/ARR) growth as scoreboard metrics Represent the company at client meetings, partner events, and industry functions What we're looking for: 2+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience — IT channel/VAR/solutions provider background strongly preferred Proven track record against quota and financial growth goals Strong communication skills with the ability to engage executives and lead consultative conversations Goal-oriented with a high sense of urgency; disciplined pipeline and CRM habits (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) Competitive spirit and a commitment to continuous learning in a high-performance, in-person team culture Why this seat: Full portfolio instead of a single product line — more to sell, more ways to win Uncapped commission tied to gross profit, with residuals that build year over year Dedicated Solution Architect support and established OEM/vendor relationships A platform large enough to deliver nationally, small enough that your wins are visible Chicago-based with regular local client travel.
