Help kids in North Portland Get Ready for School! (age 11+) Referral Learn about the biggest needs in our city by seeing the resources and folks who are interested in them. Be a part of a day of fun and festivities while also learning about events and how they come together. About the Program Our mission is to support the social service sector to lead to better outcomes for community members. Volunteers will play an instrumental role in connecting community members with vital resources. About the Project We are hosting a Back to School Fair, which connects families to vital resources and equips kids with backpacks filled with school supplies. Volunteer positions vary and can be anything from helping us set up to checking in guests to handing out backpacks! Fair Set up – 8:30 am – 11:00 am Check in (table hosts and volunteers) – 9:30 am – 11:00 am Check in (guests) – 10:30 am – 2:00 pm Backpack distribution – 10:45 am – 2:00 pm Food bank – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Food server – 10:30 am – 2:00 pm Resource Lab – 10:30 am – 2:00 pm There may be more added later. Check the registration link. Sign Up to Help Out Here Age: Volunteers must be 11+. Those under 16 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
