Dozens of trees (6-10' tall) will be waiting to be planted in their forever homes across the neighborhoods of Westside Vancouver -- and your help makes it possible for this event to be a success! Overview Dozens of trees (6-10' tall) will be waiting to be planted in their forever homes across the neighborhoods of Westside Vancouver -- and your help makes it possible for this event to be a success! About the Program Friends of Trees inspires people to improve the world around them through a simple solution: Planting Trees. Together. As a tree-planting volunteer, you’ll contribute to creating cleaner air and water in your community, as well as improving wildlife habitat, and increasing a whole host of other benefits that trees provide! About the Project Let’s plant trees together in Westside Vancouver! The meeting location is Vancouver First United Methodist Church, 401 E 33rd St, Vancouver, WA 98663. Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun! We request that youth 15 and under volunteer with a parent/guardian. Youth 16 and older can volunteer on their own and will need to hand us a youth waiver form ( friendsoftrees.org/youthwaiver ) signed by their parent/guardian.
