Providence Mental Therapy Session Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position allows you to provide essential therapeutic support to children and adolescents across Oregon. You will play a critical role in delivering effective, in-community therapy to individuals with developmental and cognitive challenges, primarily through a flexible work model that accommodates the needs of our clients and their families.

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions either in the clients' homes or at our outpatient clinic in Gresham, Oregon, as necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at our center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual treatment sessions that focus on enhancing social skills, promoting emotional regulation, and providing effective coping strategies to clients.

• Working directly with children and adolescents experiencing challenges related to anger management, self-injurious behavior (SIB), and aggressive tendencies, employing evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Facilitating sessions that enhance decision-making abilities and provide guidance to caregivers in managing behavioral difficulties in the home environment.
\n
• Maintaining thorough and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to track client improvement and inform ongoing care.
\n
• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other disciplinary professionals to create an integrated approach to therapy.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to review cases, share insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are facing a variety of developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges. This role is particularly rewarding as you help to create individualized therapeutic plans tailored to meet each young person’s specific needs. Your bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese will also allow you to connect with a broader spectrum of families, ensuring effective communication and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during peak after-school hours (4-7 pm), with additional flexibility on weekends desirable.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client locations are necessary.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, will be required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support to children and adolescents.
\n
• Background working with children and youth who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a strong plus.

• Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
