About the Position

Seeking a Locum Cardiology Physician to provide comprehensive cardiac care in Bellingham, WA.

• • • Assignment starts September 14, 2026
• • • 14 week assignment
• • • Average daily census of approximately 10 patients
• • • Approximately 247 bed hospital
• • • Full spectrum Electrophysiology services
• • • Combination of general cardiology & EP procedures
• • • Epic EMR required
• • • Emergency / expedited privileges may be available depending on eligibility

• • • Evaluate & manage cardiology patients
• • • Provide inpatient & outpatient cardiac care
• • • Manage patients requiring electrophysiology services
• • • Perform & manage pacemaker procedures
• • • Participate in cardiac ablation procedures
• • • Perform cardioversions
• • • Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• • • Approximately 2–4 TEEs per shift
• • • Provide cardiac consultation & follow up
• • • Participate in scheduled call coverage
• • • Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac care teams
• • • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic

Requirements

• • • MD or DO with Cardiology specialization
• • • Board Certified in Cardiology
• • • Board Certified in Electrophysiology
• • • Active Washington medical license required
• • • Willingness to obtain Washington licensure may be considered
• • • ACLS certification required
• • • BLS certification required
• • • NRP certification required
• • • Minimum 1 year of experience
• • • Epic charting experience required

• • • Full time locum coverage
• • • 8 hour daytime shifts
• • • Standard schedule approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• • • 1–2 weekday call nights
• • • One weekend call shift
• • • Average call frequency approximately 1:6
• • • Call coverage required
• • • 8 hour orientation included
