Our facility encompasses 5,000 square feet of state-of-the-art sports medicine resources, specifically designed to cater to various rehabilitation needs. We primarily serve individuals with private medical insurance, allowing us to offer focused, patient-centered care. Our team consists of two licensed physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all committed to delivering exceptional treatment and support.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Dumfries, VA. The center is equipped with modern technology and rehabilitation tools to facilitate effective treatments. Our team operates in a collaborative environment, ensuring that therapeutic approaches are continuous and holistic. You can expect to work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's individual goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a structured caseload, treating one patient per hour to ensure focused and dedicated care.
• Utilize advanced techniques to develop comprehensive and personalized care plans that integrate exercise, manual therapy, and innovative treatment modalities.
• Implement cost-effective sessions aimed at improving patients' range of motion, mobility, and overall physical function.
• Strive to reduce reliance on pharmaceuticals while offering alternatives to surgical options by promoting wellness.
• Motivate patients to adhere to their prescribed treatment programs and lifestyle changes to enhance their strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
• Document treatment processes thoroughly and communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Evaluate treatment efficacy and adjust care plans as needed based on patient progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with primarily consist of individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries and conditions. Your expertise will guide them through tailored therapeutic processes aimed at restoring function and optimizing recovery. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals from various disciplines to ensure comprehensive care for conditions ranging from chronic pain to post-surgical rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Virginia state license for Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• An impeccable professional record with no disciplinary actions or board complaints.
• Exceptional proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven track record in exercise protocol development and implementation.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is essential; experience with WebPT is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, providing you with a robust understanding of the demands and treatment protocols recognized in the field.
• A history of effective interdisciplinary collaboration will enhance the holistic treatment experience for patients.

Compensation and Benefits
