Work Environment\n

This role is inherently flexible, operating in a remote outpatient format conducive to modern therapy practices. You will be part of a supportive team that utilizes telehealth technologies to connect with clients effectively. Our clinicians work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing them with work-life balance while ensuring availability for client sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient’s specific goals and challenges, adjusting them as necessary based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.

• Conduct regular counseling sessions for individuals and families, employing therapeutic techniques that resonate with clients and encourage them to explore their feelings and behaviors.

• Regularly assess patient progress toward treatment goals and make necessary modifications to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with clients to provide referrals to specialists when additional support is needed, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Active Minds, you will primarily work with diverse individuals and families experiencing various mental health issues. Our clients range from children to adults seeking assistance for emotional and psychological difficulties in personal relationships, mental health crises, or transitional life events. Your expertise will be crucial in creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to gain insight into their situations and foster healthier relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LMFT license issued by the State of California.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Experience or specialized training in addiction counseling and dual diagnosis.

• Strong foundation in evidence-based practices pertaining to substance abuse treatment.

• Excellent interpersonal and motivational interviewing skills to effectively engage clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior clinical experience as an LMFT in an outpatient setting.
