Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families from the comfort of your own space. While primarily remote, you will have the flexibility to engage in face-to-face interactions within school settings as needed. Your work schedule will typically follow a Monday to Friday routine from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts, weekend coverage, and on-call requirements to ensure our students’ mental health needs are met promptly.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students exhibiting a range of special needs, ensuring that all evaluations align with the district’s educational goals.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that prioritize emotional well-being and facilitate successful school integration.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for students with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with a team of educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive care that addresses each student's needs holistically.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support, ensuring students receive prompt and effective assistance during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Conduct educational sessions for students and their families to increase awareness of mental health conditions and available support resources.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards while entering data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities to refine therapeutic strategies and share insights.

• Stay informed about pertinent laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines relevant to mental health counseling and special education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will encompass students with diverse special needs within the school environment. You will engage with individuals exhibiting various mental health disorders, collaborating closely with families to foster supportive growth and development. Your interventions will play a crucial role in helping students navigate their unique challenges and enhancing their overall educational experience.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; however, a Master’s degree or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly in the context of trauma-informed care.

• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating tailored treatment plans.
\n
• Capability to deliver individual and group therapy using various therapeutic techniques while demonstrating sound clinical judgment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and other team members.

Preferred Experience\n

We value candidates with two or more years of post-licensure experience in similar roles. Additionally, experience working with students in the school setting or exposure to special education frameworks will enhance your candidacy. Demonstrating crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations is essential for leads in this position.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling offers a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
