Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the ship's bakery, including ordering ingredients, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment onboard the cruise ship
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to create and execute a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries for our guests
• Ensure all baked goods are made to the highest quality standards and are visually appealing
• Train and supervise a team of bakers, ensuring they adhere to company standards and follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with other departments, such as the dining room and room service, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of baked goods to guests
• Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into the menu when appropriate
• Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment, following all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Head Baker, preferably in a high-volume, fine dining establishment
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in baking and pastry arts
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to manage and train a team
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and obtain necessary travel documents
