We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Board-Certified Physical Therapist to join our team at Carilion Physical Therapy in Fairfax, Virginia. This role, primarily located in an onsite rehabilitation facility, will allow you to positively impact the lives of patients recovering from various conditions. Work Environment

Located in Fairfax, Virginia, our rehabilitation facility boasts a warm and supportive atmosphere that promotes healing and rehabilitation. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, with two shift options available: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, ensuring a work-life balance and a schedule conducive to your personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Carilion Physical Therapy, your role will include, but is not limited to:

• Evaluating and diagnosing patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries within a rehabilitation facility setting.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that utilize a blend of techniques including exercise, stretching, hands-on therapy, and advanced therapeutic equipment.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' progress, responses to treatments, and adjusting therapeutic goals through regular reassessment and treatment plan updates.
• Educating patients, caregivers, and families on effective therapy practices, assistive devices, and strategies to promote self-care and mobility.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development, including attending workshops and participating in professional networks to broaden knowledge and skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with an incredibly diverse patient population ranging from young children to older adults, each presenting unique challenges and rehabilitation needs. This role will demand a compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care, as you tailor treatments to individuals recovering from a wide spectrum of physical conditions and impairments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
• A willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing patient needs.

Preferred Experience

While two years of prior experience is required, we welcome applications from enthusiastic candidates who show a strong commitment to learning and patient care. Experience in rehabilitative settings and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will be viewed favorably, although not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
