Director of Music Ministries

Job Description: This is a full-time position, responsible for developing and coordinating all aspects of the Traditional and Blended Worship Services in support of the weekly messages. The Director of Music Ministries will lead the members and guests of WIUMC in praise and worship of God through various musical and creative elements. WIUMC is a family of faith, located on a barrier island on the coast of Georgia, seeking to increase participation in worship through a vital music ministry. Abilities required in traditional and contemporary music leadership in vocals, instrumentation, developing musical personnel: Chancel Choir, Praise Band, Handbell Choir, Children’s Choir, and various ensembles. We seek a person, male or female, having a Christ-centered life exhibited through personal faith and worship. We desire a person with a degree in music or related field; a firm history of music leadership and directing; with good oral and written communication skills; the ability to be a team player collaborating with various staff and church members; and a person with experience in lighting/sound/technical knowledge. Salary: Compensation will be negotiated based on education, experience and skills, in the monetary range up to $60,000.00.
