Senior Director, Pennsylvania Transportation Operations Leader

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Director to lead our team, driving operations, business growth, and client relationships across road, highway and bridge projects in the region. What You’ll Be Doing Lead Operations: Oversee the successful execution of transportation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Drive Business Growth: Expand Parsons’ presence, leveraging key accounts and identifying new opportunities with PennDOT, SEPTA, and other local agencies. Foster Collaboration: Build strong relationships across business lines, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with client goals. Mentor and Develop Talent: Guide and support a high‑performing team of engineers and project managers, fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth. Achieve Operational Excellence: Manage P&L responsibilities, including meeting or exceeding sales, operating profit, margin, and DSO targets. Be a Seller/Doer: Balance business development and project management responsibilities, actively participating in proposals, client presentations, and project delivery. Innovate Solutions: Champion creative approaches to solving complex infrastructure challenges, ensuring Parsons remains a trusted partner in the region. Required Skills You’ll Bring 4‑year degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical/business field 20+ years of experience managing diverse infrastructure projects, with a proven track record on large‑scale PennDOT projects PE license in Pennsylvania Strong leadership with experience mentoring teams and fostering collaboration Background in roadway/highway, bridge, or traffic design Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships Desired Skills You’ll Bring Experience meeting operational business goals and strategizing on market development, including P&L ownership Professional network and ability to attract top talent Location Philadelphia or Harrisburg, PA office.
