We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented B2B Collections Specialist to join our accounting team. This person will be responsible for managing customer accounts, reducing outstanding receivables, and working directly with business customers to resolve past-due balances.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of B2B customer accounts and monitor outstanding balances
• Make collection calls and send emails to customers regarding past-due invoices
• Review AR aging reports and prioritize collection efforts
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, credits, and customer disputes
• Work with customers to resolve account issues and establish payment arrangements when needed
• Apply and reconcile customer payments
• Maintain accurate notes and documentation on collection activity
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Billing, and Accounting to resolve account issues
• Escalate seriously delinquent accounts as appropriate
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end AR activities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of B2B collections or Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience working with an AR aging report and customer account balances
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable making collection calls and having payment-related conversations
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to research and resolve account discrepancies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
