Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' backgrounds and create effective, individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and resilience.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, where you help patients process trauma and develop essential coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention in trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and management for individuals in distress.

• Educate patients and families on trauma responses, treatment goals, and resources to empower their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from PTSD and complex trauma. By focusing on trauma recovery, you will help clients navigate their emotions, enhance their coping skills, and progress toward meaningful healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health settings, ideally focused on trauma treatment.

• Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care frameworks.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach in therapy.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing support to clients.

• Skilled in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technological tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n
