Work Environment

This position is based onsite, with therapists visiting patients in their homes throughout Hackensack and surrounding areas. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and techniques to provide the highest quality of care. Our work setting ensures that therapists can connect with clients in a personal environment, fostering trust and enhancing treatment outcomes. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional life.

Key Responsibilities

• Initial Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' physical capabilities, impairments, and treatment needs.
• Customized Treatment Plans: Develop individualized care plans that incorporate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the specific orthopedic conditions of the patients.
• Patient Interaction: Engage with patients to set clear therapeutic goals, educating them on their conditions, treatment process, and expected outcomes.
• Hands-On Therapy: Implement manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols that aim to reduce pain, improve function, and restore movement.
• Outcomes Monitoring: Evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to create a cohesive treatment approach for each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients diagnosed with various orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, arthritis, and chronic pain disorders. Your role will be critical in guiding these individuals toward recovery through hands-on treatment and education on lifestyle modifications. By focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, and overall physical health, you will make a pronounced impact on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, particularly in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• A clean professional record, free from any disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises.
• Exceptional skills in generating and executing customized exercise programs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home health care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between $110,000 and $130,000 annually, alongside performance-based bonuses.
