Position Overview

Mobility Project Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Teaneck, New Jersey. This full-time role, primarily set in home care, aims to empower patients to regain their mobility and improve their overall quality of life. Work Environment

This position is based onsite, primarily involving direct patient interactions within their homes. Our physical therapist will have the autonomy to assess environments and adapt treatments that fit each patient's living conditions. This setting allows for a unique opportunity to provide personalized care that standard clinical environments may not offer. The work schedule for this role is from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to understand each patient's unique goals, needs, and limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility, improving strength, and enhancing balance and coordination.
• Utilize evidence-based manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and improve patient outcomes.
• Administer a range of treatment modalities while reducing reliance on medication and avoiding surgical interventions when possible.
• Monitor and document progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
• Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process, self-care strategies, and the importance of home exercise programs.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care, addressing diverse health needs.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with the latest therapeutic techniques and practice standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our patient population includes individuals seeking rehabilitation for joint replacements, fractures, sports-related injuries, and post-operative care. As such, your role will be crucial in helping them regain their independence and return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• An impeccable professional record, free from board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proven competence in developing and implementing effective exercise protocols.

Preferred Experience

Ideally, applicants will have hands-on experience using various therapeutic modalities and techniques tailored to orthopedic patients. Familiarity with home care environments and the ability to develop innovative solutions for unique home challenges will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000, accompanied by full benefits.
