Work Environment

This role is primarily based in a home care setting, providing the unique opportunity to deliver therapy directly in patients' homes. This environment allows you to develop personalized relationships with your patients, accommodating them in familiar settings that enhance their comfort and engagement during rehabilitation. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance that supports your personal and professional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans according to patient needs, focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and apply comprehensive care programs that target mobility improvement and pain reduction.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to devise specific therapeutic goals.
• Implement innovative treatment techniques and modalities while closely monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Promote a proactive lifestyle by educating patients on health management, including exercises for strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document treatment sessions, outcomes, and modifications in patient records, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Maintain a patient load of one-on-one sessions per hour to ensure dedicated, individualized attention and high-quality interactions.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The majority of our patients consist of individuals with private medical insurance, primarily focusing on those recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding them through their rehabilitation, leveraging on your advanced knowledge of physical therapy techniques to enhance healing and improve functional outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in New York State with no disciplinary actions is essential.
• Demonstrated strong manual therapy skills, alongside proficiency in developing and implementing effective exercise regimens.
• Experience in the orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, with a minimum of two years of relevant practice.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to enhance documentation efficiency and patient follow-up.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to build rapport with a diverse patient base.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in designing and executing personalized fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with current trends and methodologies in physical therapy practices, ensuring the use of the most effective techniques in rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
