Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care using the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for wound care patients.
• Collaborate with the wound care team and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
• Prioritize nursing actions and implement physician orders accurately within defined time frames.
• Document patient care, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (Cerner EMR) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor wounds, perform dressing changes, and administer wound care treatments per orders while monitoring for signs of infection or complications.
• Maintain patient safety and adherence to infection prevention protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license (must be active at submission)
• BLS certification (active)
• Minimum 2 years of acute wound care experience (required)
• Experience with Cerner EMR (required)
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (required)
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccination required; vaccination status must be reflected in the profile
• Copy of agency IL nursing license included in submission (required)
