Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services to clients in both a school and community context, addressing various symptoms related to major mental illness and severe emotional disorders.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate patient care plans, optimizing resources and services available within the educational and healthcare frameworks.
\n
• Conduct initial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and screenings, tailoring interventions to suit the individual needs of clients, while ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and COHC standards.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to encourage clients’ engagement and progress toward their treatment goals.
\n
• Identify crisis situations and implement timely interventions to ensure client safety, including on-call coverage as needed.
\n
• Monitor client progress, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and ensure effective communication among all stakeholders, including families and other healthcare providers.
\n
• Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute to team goals focused on quality improvement.

• Engage in proactive outreach within the school community to raise awareness about mental health and available services, creating an inclusive atmosphere for healing.

The primary focus of this role is on school-aged children and adolescents facing significant mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.

• Current Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Maryland.

• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective engagement with clients, families, and team members.

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices related to child and adolescent mental health.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a similar setting, preferably in school-based mental health.
