Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of students with diverse special needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address emotional well-being and facilitate effective integration into the educational environment.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to students dealing with issues such as ASD, ADHD, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on personal growth, emotional regulation, and developing coping strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to coordinate holistic care for each student.

• Provide crisis intervention services when needed and support interventions during mental health emergencies.

• Educate students and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources.
\n
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical notes while complying with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to stay informed of best practices in mental health care.

• Keep abreast of current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines relevant to the mental health profession.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to serve students experiencing a range of special needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, various learning disabilities, and trauma-related challenges. The work is vital in helping these students achieve emotional balance and academic success. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, displaying competence in clinical skills.

• Proven expertise in conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment plans.

• Experience in implementing both individual and group therapy using varied therapeutic methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is a requirement, candidates with advanced treatment methodologies, specialized work with trauma-affected populations, and extensive collaboration with educational professionals will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits\n
