Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized tools and interviews to inform treatment planning.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, incorporating modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care based on client-specific concerns.

• Collaborate effectively with fellow professionals including case managers and psychiatrists to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to client care, attending interdisciplinary meetings and sharing pertinent client information.

• Deliver crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute distress, employing your expertise to ensure safety, stabilization, and referral to additional resources as needed.

• Engage in community outreach, organizing and facilitating educational workshops or events aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma within the community.

Your clients will represent a rich tapestry of backgrounds, each presenting unique mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A valid and independent license in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Proven ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with clients, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively engage with clients from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Strong organizational skills, with a commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with ethical standards and agency policies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a community mental health setting or similar environment is desirable, especially with diverse populations.
