Work Environment

This full-time role requires working onsite at our Newburgh outpatient office, where our team fosters a supportive and professional atmosphere. Operating Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, we ensure a balanced workload that respects your time and well-being while promoting optimal patient care standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed patient assessments to identify specific needs and create individualized treatment plans that effectively address those needs.
• Delivering evidence-based physical therapy interventions such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise prescriptions, and utilization of various modalities tailored to patients' conditions.
• Regularly monitoring and documenting patient progress, with the capability to adjust treatment plans based on evolving patient needs and outcomes.
• Providing educational support to patients and their families, helping them understand their injuries, recovery processes, and preventive measures to maintain overall health.
• Collaborating closely with orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and organized records in compliance with all clinic policies, state regulations, and ethical standards.
• Engaging in continued professional development by staying updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and post-trauma rehabilitation. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will be pivotal in assisting patients in regaining their mobility and returning to their preferred activities, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid New York state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting; however, new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years in an outpatient orthopedic environment is required, we also value a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques, particularly manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and knowledge of the latest therapeutic technologies will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
