Business Development Representative

Engage sought-after local restaurants in the assigned territory and discover new restaurant partners Gather restaurant feedback, monitor competitor activity and marketing opportunities, and recommend improvements to management Consult restaurant owners on the benefits of joining Grubhub and accessing its diner community Identify restaurant needs and goals and demonstrate how Grubhub can grow their business Conduct extensive cold calling, emailing, and social outreach to prospective decision makers, including 60+ dials per day Manage the territory and own the sales pipeline from prospecting through closing Secure appointments, uncover needs, and present the value of partnership Travel into the market to conduct in-person sales pitches with merchant owners Exceed high-volume sales goals within a team environment Requirements Fluency in English is required Bilingual skills in Spanish or Chinese are a major plus Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience Dynamic personality with a positive attitude and desire to excel Ability to thrive in a competitive team environment Coachability and openness to new ideas and feedback Ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgment to achieve goals Persuasiveness with a demonstrated history of success in a fast-paced, transactional, quota-driven role Unwavering work ethic and willingness to exceed goals Money-motivated mentality Cold-calling experience is advantageous Ability to run effective in-person sales presentations B2B transactional sales experience Restaurant industry or hospitality experience is a plus CRM experience, preferably Salesforce.com Core Competencies Demonstrates strong B2B Transactional Sales Experience with a focus on cold calling and in-person sales presentations.
