Make a meaningful impact in an instructional setting supporting elementary-aged students as a Special Education professional. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, through June 3, 2027, with working hours from 8:40AM to 3:25PM, Monday through Friday. You’ll work in a supportive classroom environment, serving a small group of 3rd and 4th grade students and collaborating with dedicated school staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Special Education licensure and certification
- Proven school-based experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for diverse learners
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction in a special education classroom setting
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ individual needs
- Track student progress and update IEPs in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
- Foster a safe, structured, and encouraging environment conducive to academic and social growth
- Maintain regular communication with families, administrators, and related service providers
- Manage compliance with all state and federal special education mandates
