This role is designed for remote work, allowing you to serve clients from the comfort of your home while remaining connected to our vibrant outpatient office team. You will adhere to a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, typically between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours as needed to accommodate client appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate mental health and substance use needs, identifying co-occurring disorders and tailoring treatment plans accordingly.

• Collaborate with clients in developing personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapies to address their unique challenges and recovery goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to build coping strategies, promote relapse prevention techniques, and enhance emotional regulation skills.

• Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care, sharing insights and strategies that support integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders.

• Use motivational interviewing techniques and regular substance use assessments to actively engage clients in their recovery journey, promoting accountability and self-efficacy.

• Educate clients and their families on the interconnected nature of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment compliance for lasting recovery.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of client progress, therapy interventions, and referrals in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.

• Actively participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and training opportunities to enhance professional growth and expand knowledge related to co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support adults facing the significant challenges posed by co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our diverse client population includes individuals from various backgrounds, many of whom may struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction. Your expertise will play a vital role in facilitating their path toward stability and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in California as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies pertinent to co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A comprehensive understanding of the dual challenges posed by mental health and substance use disorders, as well as the best practices for treatment.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with an interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, specifically addressing co-occurring disorders, is preferred. Experience working within an integrated care model, as well as using electronic health record (EHR) systems, will also be advantageous.
