Account Executive – Outside Sales Day in the Life of the Account Executive: Responsible for outside sales to commercial customers, including medium to large business customers of internet and telephone services. Proactively identify new customer sales opportunities, define customer needs, prepare proposals, and close deals. Sale of Astound business services including Fiber Internet, Voice, Hosted Voice and related products to business accounts in assigned areas, focusing on enterprise prospects with advanced network and IT requirements. Convey order information politely and efficiently to support personnel and ensure all order information is entered accurately within 48 hours. Complete all sales transactions, provide customers with scheduled installations as stipulated by engineering and construction, and complete all paperwork and agreements accurately, legibly and thoroughly. Maintain current knowledge of Astound Broadband products, programming and promotional offers. Provide exceptional customer service at all times. Submit sales claims for unpaid completed sales within the allotted time frame. Project a professional business manner and operate with a high degree of integrity. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2‑4 years of prior experience managing business accounts in a sales or customer service environment. 1‑2 years of practical, hands‑on canvassing or cold‑calling experience with small and medium‑sized business customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Self‑motivated with minimal supervision. Excellent detail orientation and follow‑through skills. Strong discretionary judgment, handling confidential information. Physical Requirements Frequent to continuous driving, walking, bending and reaching. Occasional exposure to inclement weather. Occasional to frequent exposure to uneven surfaces, hills, stairs, and heights. Occasional use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers. Frequent to extensive local travel. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis. Flexibility to work non‑standard hours between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m., all 7 days per week. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Compensation Base salary: $63,500–$71,000 annually, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits, and commission. Targeted commissions at full attainment are $21,600. Total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve sales targets. Benefits 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Insurance options including medical, dental, vision, life, and STD. Paid Time Off and Vacation: starting at 80 hours per year, increasing with tenure. Floating Holiday: 40 hours per year.
