Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your own setting while ensuring flexibility and work-life balance. Utilizing telehealth technologies, including secure video conferencing, you will have the tools to maintain professional interactions with clients who may seek mental health support from various locations, overcoming barriers that traditional in-person counseling may present.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed preliminary interviews and document comprehensive evaluations from initial consultations through to conclusion of treatment plans.

• Assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform individualized intervention strategies.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored treatment and recovery plans for a range of clients including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe environment for open conversations and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to refine intervention strategies.
\n
• Ensure follow-up care by communicating with clients in crisis or those transitioning to or from inpatient care.
\n
• Advise and support family members and primary caregivers in managing challenges related to clients’ mental health.
\n
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, addressing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your role is crucial in ensuring that underserved populations have access to mental health support, thereby promoting social equity in mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated clinical experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Competency with electronic health record systems, particularly experience with AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with varied mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and psychosocial issues.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledgeable about the pharmacological treatments prescribed for mental health conditions.

• Strong written and oral communication skills that enhance therapeutic relationships.
