Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position requires a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within a school setting. The role supports students in Gaithersburg, MD, and operates exclusively on the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services via teletherapy to school-aged children, primarily at the elementary and middle school levels.
- Manage caseloads that vary by age group and time of year with a maximum of 40 students in elementary and up to 57 at peak.
- Collaborate with supervisors to tailor assignments based on skill set and geographic location.
- Maintain all necessary documentation, including licenses and background checks, in compliance with credentialing requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Active Maryland SLP license.
- Minimum of three years of virtual school-based SLP experience post-COVID, with at least two years within the past five years.
- Proven ability to manage substantial caseloads while delivering effective teletherapy.
- Strong communication skills tailored to the needs of school-aged children.
- Compliance with state background checks and credentialing regulations.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability for a full-time schedule, approximately 35 hours per week.
- Must pass internal eligibility and technology screening interviews.
- Submission of resume, current license images, and professional references is mandatory.
This opportunity is contracted from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with a focus on providing remote speech therapy services aligned with school calendars. Candidates will be selected based on experience, licensure, and interview performance.
