Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for neonates per established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Monitor patients closely, recognizing clinical changes and intervening per unit protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments, operate NICU equipment, and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other disciplines to plan and coordinate care.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, maintaining professional discretion and judgment.
• Document care accurately, participate in rounds, and support family-centered care and education for families.
