Compensation: $30.00-$40.00/hour DOE

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Bookkeeper for a client in McKinney, TX. In this role, you'll manage multiple client accounts, perform full-cycle bookkeeping, process payroll, prepare payroll and sales tax filings, and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with recent experience in a CPA firm or outsourced bookkeeping firm who are looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

• Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple business clients.
• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping from daily transactions through month-end close.
• Maintain general ledgers and prepare journal entries.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare and file payroll tax and sales tax reports.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Maintain accurate client financial records using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding bookkeeping questions and financial information.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple client accounts.

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
• Recent experience working in a CPA firm or outsourced bookkeeping firm managing multiple client accounts.
• Experience managing multiple client businesses simultaneously.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop.
• Experience processing payroll, payroll tax filings, and sales tax filings.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

• Experience managing 20+ recurring client accounts.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
