Work Environment\n

This position is a full-time role that offers the flexibility of remote work while being deeply embedded in a school framework. Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends scheduled to ensure comprehensive mental health service coverage. Flexibility for on-call availability may be required during emergencies, ensuring that you are equipped to respond to urgent mental health situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform detailed mental health assessments for students, carefully evaluating their histories, presenting concerns, and identifying relevant risk factors.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans collaboratively with students, focusing on improving mental health issues, fostering emotional resilience, and facilitating a positive integration into school life.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches, tailored to a diverse range of mental health issues.

• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on personal development, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies suitable for the school environment.

• Work closely with other mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners, to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment is maintained.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, utilizing expert de-escalation techniques and coordinating referrals for higher-level care as needed.

• Educate students and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to engage in their own mental health care.

• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities to promote teamwork and continuous learning.

• Stay updated with the latest laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines relevant to mental health practice within school environments.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
