Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 week options available) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | 36 or 48 hour weekly options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced, 45-bed medical/surgical trauma unit serving hemodynamically and medically stable trauma patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from the ICU, or admitted from surgical/procedural services
• Manage acute and chronic care needs for trauma patients, including administration of IV drips, which are required on all floors
• Document patient care and clinical information using EPIC electronic health records (required)
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units and campuses as directed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics/swoop, and LPNs (where assigned)
• Adhere to all facility policies, including a 100% nicotine-free facility requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska RN state license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date may be adjusted accordingly)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting; experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center may be considered in lieu of first-time traveler restriction
• Proficiency with IV drip administration
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a trauma or high-acuity medical/surgical environment
• Comfort with frequent floating across multiple units and care settings
• Experience working in a Level I Academic Medical Center
