Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time | Standard Business Hours Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations for Urology, Radiation Oncology, and Imaging services. This role is responsible for preparing and submitting claims, resolving billing issues, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for preparing and submitting claims, resolving billing issues, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit clean claims for Urology, Radiation Oncology, and Imaging services.
- Research, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims.
- Verify authorizations, referrals, eligibility, and provider credentials prior to claim submission.
- Apply payer-specific billing guidelines, LCDs/NCDs, and medical policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities and payer communications.
- Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from payers, patients, and internal teams.
- Collaborate with coders, providers, and operational teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience preferred.
- Experience billing for Urology, Radiation Oncology, and Imaging services strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding.
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and managed care billing requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional billing or coding education preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with billing systems, clearinghouses, and payer portals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
