Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a variety of assessment tools and observational practices.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that target both immediate challenges and long-term goals related to communication and swallowing.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication skills, language fluency, voice quality, and swallowing abilities.
• Partner with other healthcare professionals — including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and family members — to formulate a harmonious care plan.
• Provide education to patients and their families to foster support for their journey beyond the therapy room.
• Occasionally assist in inpatient settings for speech therapy evaluation and interventions, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and organization policies.
• Engage in continuing education and collaborative learning with peers to stay at the forefront of your field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
