Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing a variety of assessment tools and observational methods.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication skills, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage in collaborative care planning with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, fostering a consistent care experience for all patients.
• Keep meticulous and timely patient documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
