Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across all age groups using proven assessment methods.
• Create tailored therapy plans focused on both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing ambitions.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support treatment progress beyond the therapy setting.
• Participate in occasional evaluations and treatments within inpatient settings, ensuring a seamless care experience.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation that adheres to all relevant regulations and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to stay abreast of current practices in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is a valuable asset.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
