Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to serve clients while maintaining a work-life balance. Our office operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling necessary to meet the needs of our patients. Though you will primarily work from home, you will also have access to our outpatient office resources and team meetings, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive professional atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive to understand the unique experiences of each patient and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting your approach based on distinct cultural and personal factors affecting each individual.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address diverse mental health concerns, enhancing patient resilience and overall well-being.
• Collaborate actively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.
• Offer educational resources to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation per legal and ethical standards to ensure compliance and protect patient privacy.
• Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings while participating in ongoing cultural competency training sessions to refine your skills.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, adapting your methodology to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses on serving a diverse patient demographic, including but not limited to ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. You will play a critical role in fostering a therapeutic relationship that acknowledges and respects the cultural contexts of our patients, allowing for personalized treatment that addresses their particular needs.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and cultural competence in treatment delivery.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy using inclusive approaches.
• Exceptional crisis intervention abilities and the capacity to remain composed in challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with a variety of individuals.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
• Commitment to maintaining ethical guidelines, professionalism, and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, enhancing the collaborative spirit within our practice.

• Experience working with culturally diverse populations and familiarity with the unique challenges they face, particularly in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits
