Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Aurora Mind Health Advocates, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individual treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to encourage emotional healing and help clients acquire coping skills.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for patients.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to foster empowerment and understanding.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

• 2 years of post-licensure experience, with a preference for experience specific to trauma-related therapies.
