Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, considering relevant patient history, to establish a foundational assessment and treatment plan, ensuring clear documentation and communication of results.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting for improved outcomes.
• Design and implement individualized treatment protocols based on assessments, evolving healthcare trends, and the patient's unique needs.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care; address changes in patient conditions that may necessitate adjustments in treatment plans.
• Facilitate discharge planning, focusing on continued recovery and support, while maintaining timely and accurate documentation of patient care activities.
• Exhibit exceptional time management skills and productivity by maintaining an organized schedule, being punctual, and actively participating in community outreach activities.
• Contribute to the attainment of departmental goals and uphold compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development through ongoing education opportunities, serving as a mentor for students and newer staff members.
• Enhance the patient experience by being adaptable to their needs and engaging in initiatives aimed at improving access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with patients dealing with orthopedic issues—ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to sports injuries and chronic pain management. Your approach will encompass a holistic view of patient care, focusing not only on physical recovery but also on emotional and mental well-being, as you guide them through each stage of their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of New Jersey.
• Clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Experience with WebPT EMR Software is preferable.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration for patient-centric care.
• Experience mentoring or supervising physical therapy students is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
