Principal Specialist - Estimating and Pricing

U.S. citizenship is required. Security clearance is not required for this position. Responsibilities Support the development and understanding of proposals. Work with functions from across the company to develop the labor, material, and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts. Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools. Develop detailed bidding guidelines used to kick off proposals. Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates, including validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound. Prepare and present limited‑complexity proposals. Submit gate charts for program and company leadership review of proposal information. Ensure proposals comply with basic FAR and internal requirements. Assess and formulate potential solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittal. Demonstrate ability and willingness to acquire special access clearance to work activities as appropriate. Qualifications Must Have Typically requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of three years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting). U.S. citizenship. Preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with senior management and customer organizations. Good investigative and analytical abilities. Excellent organizational skills and proven track record of meeting deadlines in a schedule‑driven environment. Effective planning and scheduling skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in accordance with customer and company requirements. Team‑player attitude, working well with peers and management. Knowledge of internal and external regulation application to company proposals. Working knowledge of RTN pricing tool ProPricer (desired). Active Secret clearance (a plus). Benefits Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
