Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Broward Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment focused on preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Overseeing the implementation of the care plan by physical therapy assistants to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess clients' functional abilities and creating tailored therapy plans based on diagnostic assessments.
• Evaluating clients' home environments and making recommendations to enhance their independence in daily activities.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities to aid recovery and improve mobility.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices while coordinating with clients' physicians for modifications as required.
• Documentation of clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to the highest standards of care.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Educating clients and families on therapy strategies, equipment use, and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse array of patients, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Your expertise will be vital in helping clients achieve their rehabilitation goals while ensuring their comfort and confidence throughout the process.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist is required, candidates with experience in both acute care and home care settings will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits
