Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks which may include:

• Developing and implementing personalized physical therapy treatment plans aligned with physician referrals to address patient needs and concerns.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they correctly deliver therapy according to established care plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic testing, including assessing muscle, nerve, and joint functionalities.
• Assessing the home environment and recommending modifications to enhance patients' independence.
• Providing hands-on therapeutic exercises, implementing manual therapy techniques, and instructing clients in non-manual activities to promote functional mobility.
• Tracking and documenting patient progress meticulously, with detailed recording of evaluations and ongoing assessments to inform care plan adjustments.
• Participating in interdisciplinary case conferences to discuss and strategize optimal treatment outcomes in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Educating patients and their families about rehabilitation programs, therapeutic devices, and the overall care process to ensure they actively engage in their recovery.
• Adapting and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed, making recommendations for adjustments to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required, while a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid PT license in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience
