Business Development Representative

A nationally established business services organization is seeking a Field Business Development Representative to generate new business leads across the South Florida market. This is a field-based lead generation role — not a phone or desk position — responsible for daily in-person visits to businesses, uncovering service needs, and setting confirmed meetings for the senior sales team. The ideal candidate is comfortable approaching businesses in person without an appointment, brings prior field selling or lead generation experience, and has the discipline to plan and run an independent daily driving schedule. Key Responsibilities Field Lead Generation Work a planned daily driving route through an assigned coverage area, visiting businesses in person Connect face-to-face with the individual responsible for building service agreements Assess current arrangements and identify where a service need exists Generate a steady flow of new leads from in-person visits and local activity Meeting Coordination & Follow-Up Schedule confirmed meetings for the senior sales team with complete written notes Revisit earlier stops and dormant contacts on a set cadence Maintain accurate records of visits, conversations, and next steps in the sales tracking system Represent the organization at area business gatherings and trade functions Qualifications 2+ years of field sales, lead generation, or comparable in-person customer-facing experience Documented history of meeting or exceeding assigned lead and meeting targets Confidence and clarity in unscheduled face-to-face conversations Ability to plan and manage an independent daily driving schedule Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Dependable insured vehicle available for daily travel Conversational Spanish preferred Field-based role with daily driving throughout an assigned coverage area Majority of each shift spent out of the office and on foot in commercial buildings Limited office time for route planning, research, and record keeping Regular walking, standing, and entering businesses in person $28 – $32 per hour base, plus monthly commission and performance incentives Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage Paid time away and observed holidays Work phone provided and travel covered at the standard per-mile rate Advancement potential into senior sales or a supervisory role #J-18808-Ljbffr
